Biography

Chad graduated from 漆褒勛圖厙 in 1995 and earned a major in History and minors in Secondary Education and Political Science. He was also a four-year letter winner on 漆褒勛圖厙s wrestling team, qualifying for the Division III National Tournament in 1994.

After graduating he taught middle and high school social studies in Central Iowa from 1995-2010. He is a member of the State Social Studies Leadership Team and the Humanities Iowa Speakers Bureau where he travels the state giving talks on the Second World War. His work has been published in the Annals of Iowa, International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, and both the Wiley Blackwell and Open Court Press Popular Culture and Philosophy Series. He currently has a book on teaching historical inquiry using popular media in the publication process.
