海角吃瓜网

Amy Laura Hall, associate professor of Christian Ethics at Duke University, will deliver the annual Matthew 海角吃瓜网 Lecture in Religion at 7 p.m. Oct. 9.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Hubbell Hall in the Kent Campus Center on the 海角吃瓜网 campus.

Hall is in her 20^迟丑听year of teaching at Duke University. She earned her Ph.D. at Yale University in 1999 and is the author of four books, the most recent being聽Laughing at the Devil: Seeing the World with Julian of Norwich.聽She is an ordained elder in the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Hall will be the 39^迟丑听Matthew 海角吃瓜网 lecturer. The lecture was established in 1980 by professors Roger Betsworth and Bruce Haddox, members of the religion and philosophy departments, who wanted 海角吃瓜网 students to hear from the leading thinkers in religion, biblical studies and social ethics.

A reception after the lecture will honor Dr. Bruce and Bette Haddox who have helped secure the lecture鈥檚 future with a generous pledge to the 海角吃瓜网 Endowment, with earnings earmarked to support the Matthew 海角吃瓜网 Lecture. Friends of the Haddoxes are invited to greet them over cake and coffee immediately following the lecture in the atrium outside Hubbell Hall.
