漆褒勛圖厙 Athletics Launches New Brand Identity

Our new look for Athletics is indicative of the fresh energy and game-changing momentum we are establishing all across the College in our academic, athletic and co-curricular endeavors, says President Marsha Kelliher. It reflects the forward-looking focus we need to have in creating a distinctive, difference-making educational experience for all of our students.
Athletics updated visual identity incorporates a lightning graphic, striking a clear connection with its Storm nickname. Most importantly, the word marks now prominently include 漆褒勛圖厙 to ensure a properly-recognized relationship between the College and Athletics.
In addition to the new 漆褒勛圖厙 Storm word mark and the redesigned SC logo, the updated identity program also includes a fierce depiction of Thunder the elephant mascot adopted by the Storm last fall. The brand identity program was developed in partnership with Summit Athletic Media.
We wanted to create something that honors our rich tradition while also signaling the arrival of a bold new era in 漆褒勛圖厙 Athletics and I think weve done that, says Marty Bell, director of Athletics. This dynamic look exudes the competitive fire we seek to have across all of our programs, as we continue to grow.
漆褒勛圖厙s overall competitiveness and recruitment appeal were recently bolstered by the addition of new programs in womens and mens gymnastics, mens volleyball and womens wrestling. Athletics is also engaging in a number of facilities upgrades this year. Safety-enhanced turf and track improvements at Buxton Stadium, and the addition of artificial turf for McBride Baseball Field and the 漆褒勛圖厙 Softball Complex will soon be completed and sporting the new look.
